Turned off and on the controller, same s. Now, the stupid car wont go forward when I hit the acceleration. this wreck made me have to spawn back to the road. I've tried it many times and in many different areas of the game to record the stuttering, but the moment I enable the video recording, it won't stutter anymore.as soon as I turn the recording off, however, it goes back to random stuttering. Ok, I was in the middle of a race, and I had a wreck. It is very odd, I enable FRAPS then activate the video recording, and suddenly the stuttering pletely. You'd think a newer, faster, computer would run this game better than an older one right?Īs a side note everytime I try to record a fraps video of the problem, the stuttering stops. It's only a problem in this one game and I have no idea how to solve it. I have tried everything that I can think of, disabling anti virus, shutting down all background processes, going into the bios and changing these settings, running the game in various windows compatibility modes, unplugging everything except for the game controller to my computer, lowering the graphical settings, turning off/on v-sync, updating video card drivers.literally everything I can think of and nothing has made even a little bit of difference.

The graphics will be silky smooth one moment and then stutter (looks like it is skipping a frame here and there) the next, nearly always screwing up my driving as my brain cannot handle an object that I perceived to be at one distance only for it to suddenly be in my face less than a half second later due to a stutter. I NEVER had stuttering issues with this game and my old rig. Everything else is the same as before (video card Radeon 6870, hard drives, sound system, sound card, mouse, DVD drive, etc.) and ever since then I have had obnoxious stuttering issues in the game. Validate the install files of Test Drive Unlimited 2 and re-acquire any files that failed to validate 5. Verify the game cache and try running the game on low settings. I went from a, 8 gigs DDR 2 PC 6400 RAM computer to a Core, 8 gigs DDR 3 RAM computer. Turn off all the background applications that are not vital for your computer, including Internet browsers and instant messaging programs. The only parts I changed were the motherboard, cpu, and memory. I have been getting very obnoxious stuttering issues with just this game (doesn't happen in any of my others that I play) and only since I upgraded to a new system.

Since the main forums are dead, I can't find any help at all and was wondering if anybody here has any ideas.
